– Each Senior athlete is required to confirm their OLYMPIC and WORLD weight division
– Deadline is January 8th
– Complete/Sign/Date the form and return to me on or before deadline.
5) 2015 Summer Universiade Games
· Selection Criteria will be released shortly.
· Summer Universiade Games will be July 3-14, 2015, this is a self-funded event.
· Canada Open 2015 is a pre-requisite event.
(1) The following selection priority will apply for the purpose of the selection, tiering is used to .
1. Tier 1 – The WTF World Weight Ranking published as of March 1st, 2015 will be used to select the athletes for the Approved Competition.
2. Tier 2 – 2015 Canada Open finish.
3. Tier 3 – 2014 Canadian Nationals finish.
i. 2014 Canadian Nationals is applied for the purpose of meeting CIS entry deadline of March 1, 2015 and ensuring athletes are competing actively.
4. Tier 4 – 2014 Canadian Nationals participation.
(2) Any remaining vacant spot(s) will be offered to the next applicant or re-open for application subject to meeting CIS deadline-March 1, 2015.
(3) CIS eligible athletes may apply for the selection to the Approved Competition by emailing the Application to the High Performance Manager, Ms. Jamie Dossantos-jdossantos@taekwondo-canada.com
1. Deadline: January 30, 2015.
1) La priorité de sélection suivante s’appliquera aux fins de sélection de la compétition approuvée.
a. Tiers 1 – Le plus récent classement olympique de la WTF publié au 1er mars 2015 servira pour la sélection des athlètes en vue de la compétition approuvée.
b. Tiers 2 – Résultat lors du Canada Open 2015;
c. Tiers 3 – Résultat lors des Championnats canadiens 2014;
a. La participation aux Championnats canadiens 2014 sera exigée afin de veiller à ce que les athlètes compétitionnent activement afin de satisfaire la date limite d’inscription du 1er mars 2015 établie par le SIC.
d. Tiers 4 – Participation aux Championnats canadiens 2014.
2) Tout poste vacant sera offert au demandeur suivant ou on réenclenchera le processus de mise en candidature afin de satisfaire la date limite de la SIC du 1er mars 2015.
3) Les athlètes du SIC admissibles pourront présenter leur demande pour la sélection en vue de la compétition approuvée en l’envoyant par courriel à la directrice de la Haute performance, Mme Jamie Dossantos, jdossantos@taekwondo-canada.com
