Hello everyone! – Please read carefully…

WEIGH IN VENUE has changed from the Richmond Oval to the host hotel where the referees will be meeting. The host hotel is the Marriot Hotel, 7571 Westminster Hwy Richmond BC between 6 and 8pm. Any athletes that come to the oval during those hours will be directed to the Marriot which is 5 minute away.

ROUGH SCHEDULE OF EVENTS – subject to change.

8am ID pickup – coaches and school masters only – please DO NOT congregate around the registration table. Unless you are a school delegate, do not ask (find your coach).

9:20am Poomse athletes report to your ring assignment, found on “Poster A”. Poomse trees for unofficial poomse will be posted to the WTF BC facebook group/page and posted on the wall at the venue. Do your best to find your name if you compete in poomse. Unofficial poomse will be in rings 1-4 and will be separated by three separate bracket posters (A,B,C). “A” poster will go first, Bs and Cs will be called over the PA when the rings are ready for more action.

10:30am – Out of town official senior weigh in

12:15pm – After opening ceremony, Cadet and Junior blackbelt unofficial weigh in. Anyone who is blackbelt 12 and over who is competing with e-socks and is NOT a senior ahtlete.

11:45am – Opening ceremony and lunch break

1pm – Sparring for colour belts will start. There is not as many people sparring as other events so we are unable to estimate times. Please listen for announcements as your age and belt level will be called to be tree’d into competition brackets. Colour belt sparring should be complete before 5pm.

Official blackbelt sparring will start after all weigh-ins and official poomse (pairs, individual and freestyle) are complete. This will happen in the octagon rings.

Lastly, please be patient as this is our first live tournament back and we are all trying to get a handle on this again. Good luck and we wish you a successful event.
